Settings

The global system settings are made up of settings for SMTP, OIDC, workflow and reporting and can be managed by a Tenant Administrator.

Tenancy settings

Tenancy settings are made up of the following attributes:

Tenant name

The name of the organisation.

Email address

The email address from which to send outgoing emails from UMT.

SMTP settings

SMTP settings define the attributes that UMT uses for sending emails. Speak to your email administrator to get values for the following attributes:

SMTP server URL

The URL of your SMTP server.

SMTP server port

The port of your SMTP server.

SMTP user

The user of your SMTP server.

SMTP password

The password of the user of your SMTP server.

Report settings

The report settings define the length of time a report should be retained before being purged from the system:

The length of time a report is stored before being deleted.

Workflow settings

Workflow settings determine the overall processes of reviews and approvals for requests such as user creation and contract extension. These are universal rules and apply to all the users within your organisation:

Allow pre-approval

If the requestor is the approver of that user type, then their requests to create users or make alterations will automatically be approved.

Allow self-approval

Allow approvers to approve their own requests to create users or make alterations.

Review period

The number of days within which a user requires reviewing. Users not reviewed within that time are automatically rejected.

OIDC settings

To integrate UMT with an Identity Provider that supports OIDC, complete the following details:

Enable OIDC

Enables or disables OIDC.

Client URL

The Client URL from your authorisation server.

Client ID

The Client ID from your authorisation server.

Client secret

The Client secret from your authorisation server (if required).

Version number

The version tab details the current version for both the user interface and the API:

The current UMT UI version you are using.
